Usually a failed element or a spent sacrificial anode — frequently repairable.
Rusty or discoloured water
The tank is corroding internally. Replacement is the honest answer here.

A leaking tank cannot be repaired. Isolate it and call us.

Repair or replace?
As a rule of thumb, under eight years old and leaking from a fitting is worth repairing. Over twelve years, or leaking from the tank body, is replacement. We'll show you which side of that line you're on.
Is a heat pump worth it in Perth?
Perth's climate suits heat pumps well and running costs are materially lower than electric storage. The trade-off is upfront cost, and we'll model it against your actual usage rather than a brochure figure.
Can you install a unit I've bought myself?
Yes, though the manufacturer's warranty terms and any rebate eligibility can change when the unit isn't supplied through a licensed installer. We'll flag that before you buy.
